CFR Performance Steel Oil Pan for 1958–79 Chevy SB 283–400 IMCA Racing Black
Product Description
This heavy-duty black steel IMCA circle track racing oil pan is engineered for 1958–1979 Chevy small block 283–400 engines with a two-piece rear main seal. Designed specifically for claimer-style and short-track racing, it delivers dependable oil control under high-G-force conditions common in dirt and asphalt competition.
The rear-sump layout features internal baffling and two trap doors to prevent oil starvation during hard cornering and acceleration. An integrated inspection plug allows for quick visual checks and maintenance between heats without removing the pan. With a 6-quart capacity and a 7-1/4 inch deep sump, this pan is optimized for race-level oil circulation and consistent oil pickup.
Finished in a durable black powder coat, the pan offers corrosion resistance and long-term durability while maintaining compatibility with OEM-style stock starters and a driver-side dipstick configuration.
