The rear-sump layout incorporates three internal trap doors, a crankshaft scraper, and a removable louvered windage tray to stabilize oil pickup, reduce windage losses, and improve oil scavenging during hard cornering and braking. With a 7-quart pan capacity and approximately 8 quarts total capacity when used with a filter, this pan provides increased oil volume for improved cooling and lubrication.
